Halloween is more than costumes and candy; it’s a season of creativity, mystique, and community. What began as a tribute to Joanna’s Aunt Jan, a fellow Halloween enthusiast, has grown into an annual tradition that now marks its 10th year. Each October, Shady Pines Manor transforms with new themes and eerie experiences that have ranged from twisted clown funhouses to haunted cornfields, skeletal spectacles, and ghostly gatherings, all brought to life with imagination, love, and (of course) a little mischief.
The name Shady Pines Manor was born from an inside joke among a close circle of friends, inspired by the Golden Girls and the bond of growing older together while supporting one another. What started as a party in honor of Jan has become a celebration that draws families, friends, and neighbors together each year. For Amber and Joanna, the best part is sitting around a bonfire watching kids and families fill the haunt on Halloween night—screaming, laughing, and making memories that keep the spirit alive.
